Spring Camping

Dates:  May 30 - June 1, 2025
Location: Kettle Moraine State Campground
Pinewoods Group Campsite D

What It's About:
The Scouts and families of Pack 47 join together to enjoy a camping experience in a local campground. We typically gather on a Friday afternoon and go our separate ways on Sunday morning. As always, come visit as your schedule allows, or stay the whole weekend. The weekend is family-friendly, so bring the non-Scout siblings too!

How It Works:
In the past, our Spring Camping trip has been held at campgrounds not too far from Merton, usually no more than one hour's drive. Pack 47 books a group campsite so we can all set up our tents in one spot - this makes the whole weekend so much fun! Of course, families are welcome to book their own private campsites for tents or RVs as well and still participate in our activities.

Our weekend starts on Friday afternoon. We'll get together to set up our tents and campsites, then make a dinner and spend time around a bonfire.

Saturday morning includes breakfast, play time, and a hike (or swim, weather-dependent!). The afternoon might include some educational Scout lessons and open play time. The Scouts like to bring soccer balls, footballs, fishing rods, etc. There's plenty of time to go off on your own as a family as well. In the evening, we'll make dinner and have another bonfire!

Sunday morning, we work together to get the campsite packed up and cleaned up so we can all head home.

Staying overnight is NOT required, feel free to join us for the daytime events only if desired.

To account for food and supplies, please RSVP with your schedule intentions and the number of attendees to Cub Master Bill Howard: cubmaster47@gmail.com or in the comment section of the Event Page on Scoutbook.
