What It's About:
Our Fall Outdoor Activity Day is a wonderful family-friendly event where Scouts and their families can get together and spend some time in the beautiful outdoors!
This is a great event for families and Scouts new to Pack 47 can get to know the "veteran" families and Scouts. You'll get a taste of how Pack 47 operates. Camp Quad is open for families to explore, a few games will be setup, and time will be open for all to get to know each other and have a good time. We have a lot of fun as a Pack and also split into Dens. The day includes some informational and educational opportunities for Scouts to learn about First Aid, nature, and burn off some energy with physical games and hikes.
Later in the day, we'll have a dinner hosted by the Pack, usually hot dogs, tacos, or other not-too-messy foods! Families are welcome to join us in the meal as well. We'll ask for parent volunteers to help with prepping, serving, and cleaning up after the meal.
In the evening, we build a bonfire, roast marshmallows for s'mores, and tell stories and jokes around the campfire. Bring your camping chair and a blanket to stay warm.
Come for the whole day or part of the day, or come and go as needed! It's a casual day that's a lot of fun!
