How It Works:
Your Scout will be given a Pinewood Derby kit by his Den leader. Your Scout should work with you to assemble the car in accordance with the Rules as outlined below. The day before the Derby Races, you/your Scout will need to bring the competing car to the Weigh-in to confirm that the car meets the required specifications. If your car needs weight added/removed, there will be tools and additional ballast on-hand at the Weigh-in to modify the car to meet the requirements.

On Race Day, the Scouts will race against Scouts in the same age group. The track will be set up in the Gymnasium and Scouts will be called up to run their car down each of six track slots, in rotation. A sophisticated computer system tracks the run times for each car and determines 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place for each race. The top racers will compete against each other for the Championship title.

Refreshments:
Coffee and lemonade will be available for free. Doughnuts will be sold for $1 each. (Bring your singles!)
